The graphics toolbox includes several utility routines that will plot data and sample graphics for you. These include:
1. draw() and interactive() – which plot some data or sample a graphics object.
2. plot3d() – which is a more powerful 3D plotting tool.
3. plot2d() – which is a more powerful 2D plotting tool.
4. plot() – which is a plotting library with more general options.
5. rplot() – which is a plotting tool that can plot in polar, cartesian and parametric coordinates.
6. setcontour() and contour() – which plot sample graphics objects.
7. points() – which lets you plot sample graphics objects.
8. interactive() – which lets you interact with graphics objects.
In this course you will learn how to use these tools, how to build your own
graphics object and how to use the plot2d() function to construct and plot
3D graphics and surfaces.
You will also learn how to specify parametric and polar coordinates as well as how to determine the bounds of a graphics object.
